What States do you not ship to and why?We do not ship to Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas and Washington. The reason we do not ship to these States is a type of pepper we sell is not allowed or is restricted to be shipped to your State.

How long should shipping take?Shipping can take up to three days. A tracking number is included to get your peppers in a timely fashion when they arrive. We recommend you have your peppers shipped to where you will most likely be when your delivery is to arrive. Leaving your peppers sitting outside all day is not recommend.

When are orders filled and shipped?We fill and ship orders fresh off the plants to you and because they are fresh produce, we only ship Monday-Wednesday so your fresh pods do not sit in a warehouse all weekend.

If I place my order after Wednesday when will it be filled and shipped?All orders placed after Wednesday at 2pm will be filled and shipped starting Monday. We do however fill expedited shipping orders on Thursday.

Are your peppers ever put in the freezer prior to shipping?Our peppers are never placed in a fridge or freeze prior to being shipped to you. They are always picked fresh to fill each order.

Do you have a wholesale price?We are a small operation so please contact us to discuss wholesale pricing and bulk orders.

Do you accept cancellations, returns or do refunds/exchanges?"We do not accept cancellations for the reason we pick our peppers fresh when orders are received. We do not accept returns, refunds or exchanges because these are perishable items.

Do you sell plants? Do you sell seeds?Currently we do sell live plants in packs of 2 and we do sell hobby variety packs of seeds. Our focus is providing an experience for pepper enthusiast that may wish they had the time to grow these novelty and exotic types that take a lot of time and effort but are looking to still experience the heat of a quality pod. We decided to add live plants and seeds for all levels of pepper lovers to enjoy.

Why is the item I want always sold out?There could be many reasons to this question. It could be weather related, and the crop got wiped out in a storm. It could also be wildlife decided a tasty snack was needed. It could also mean that the item is in high demand this season. We do not use third party growers to keep a product in stock during our fresh pepper season. We raise every plant from seed and like to know every pepper is to our standard.

Do you take orders in advance to the fresh pepper season?We do not take orders or money in advance for any pepper orders at this time for the reason we do not want to let any customers get their hopes up and have an unforeseen crop casualty.

If I am local can I stop by and pick up my order?As much as we would love to be able to offer this currently, we are a small urban farming business and out of respect to our family and neighbors we do not currently offer this.

Do you grow your peppers with harsh chemical and pesticides? Is your produce organic?Our produce is not organic, but we do not use any harsh chemicals or pesticides on our plants.

Should I wear gloves and a mask when dealing with extremely hot peppers?You should always use gloves and a mask when dealing with the extremely hot pepper pods. The capsaicin in peppers that are super hot pods can burn your skin if not handled carefully. When making powders a mask is always recommended to not get the powder directly into your lungs.

Can I freeze my peppers?Yes, you can freeze your peppers. We love to freeze our fresh pepper pods. It is a great way to experience a high-quality pod year-round.

How do I freeze my fresh peppers, so I have enough to get through until your next fresh pepper season?"There are many technics, but a few are to cut, and wash set on a tray in freezer. Then when frozen place in an air tight container or Ziploc bag. Remove seeds, stems and membrane before freezing. Blanching is another form where you dip in boiling water prior to freezing. You can also wash, dry and place whole pods in a Ziploc bag directly into the freezer. Some types can get soft after being frozen most will hold shape fine but they all should keep their flavor.

How do I dry or dehydrate my peppers?We suggest following the recommendations on your dehydrator for a temperature and time recommendation. You can also dry peppers in the oven if you do not have a dehydrator. Bake at your lowest oven setting until crisp and looks like it would just crumble if you touched it. If you are wanting to try a different method, then oven baking you can also string them on a string and set out into direct sunlight until dried. Doing this should make them last 3 to 6 months in a dry form.

How do I turn my fresh peppers to a powder form to make dry rubs and my own seasoning combinations?Follow dehydration instructions and then blend in a blender or crumble by hand to desired consistency. Mix multiple pepper pods for a unique seasoning combination.

Do you sell dried pods?We do not sell dried pods we specialize in fresh whole pepper pods. By doing this we can assure our customers get a rare and unique experience of tasting some of the most exotic and novelty peppers we are able to grow.

How much extreme heat should I have in a short time frame?We suggest listening to your body. The amount is of course up to you. We do recommend if you have any heart conditions or respiratory problems our extreme heat section is best avoided. We do suggest you eat this level of heat with caution and your own risk.

Are peppers healthy?Yes, peppers are very healthy for you. They are low in carbs and high vitamins. Hot peppers in some situations can even help aid weight loss and heart health plus help protect against ulcers. We are not doctor’s, but we appreciate them vouching for our pepper addiction.

Are ____ peppers acidic? How much acidity are in ____ type pepper?As much as we would love to be able to answer this question in detail currently, we cannot but what we can tell you is what we have found is that most peppers tend to be alkaline not acidic. Most peppers run roughly from 4.8 to 6.2 and we hope that helps you in your decision making. If you struggle with heartburn and have had heart health issues, we recommend staying away from the extreme heat section, but we are by no means telling you what to do. We hope you enjoy your journey with us at your own precautions and risk. We advise speaking to your doctor about health concerns and worries of trying new things prior to purchasing. Please purchase wisely as we do not offer refunds.

How long typically does it take to respond to emails?Typically, emails are responded to on the weekend. We are a small urban farm business and we try to leave Monday-Friday for filling orders and tending to your future pods needs during the fresh pepper season.

Do you ship Internationally?No, at this time we do not ship Internationally.
